As President & CEO, Norman F. Anderson focuses on infrastructure project creation, aimed at increasing the level of infrastructure investment, and the performance of existing infrastructure stocks, in developed and developing countries alike. He has overseen the development and execution of CG/LA’s proprietary analytic models, including: The Global, Latin American and now US Annual Infrastructure Capacity Rankings; The “Eight Criteria for Assessing a Country’s Infrastructure Capacity,” and CG/LA’s 5 year (through 2015) and 20 year (through 2030) infrastructure demand models.

He leads the CG/LA team that develops infrastructure projects globally; and provides high level strategy assessment for the public (cities, states, countries, MDB’s) and private (finance, E&C, equipment/technology) sectors. Among other positions he is a visiting professor in the Politecnico de Madrid, a regular contributor to AmericaEconomia, and the World Economic Forum’s Global Agenda Council on the Future of Sustainable Construction. He is also an Advisory Board Member of The Center for Transformation and Strategic Initiatives (London/Washington).

Mr. Anderson began his career as a Peace Corps volunteer in Paraguay, serving for a total of five years -- including the last two as a grantee of the Inter-American Foundation. He has a graduate degree from Harvard University, and an undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia. He is married to Ingrid Sckell – they have two children, Norman Gabriel and Janina Victoria. He speaks fluent Spanish, Portuguese and Guarani.

Mr. Hemnani is an expert in infrastructure project development – and works with foreign and major local firms, Multilateral and Development Institutions and local governments to evaluate and develop projects. Mr. Hemnani’s work has often been considered ground breaking, as he has forged strategic partnerships and developed innovative methods of project closing in the largest markets of Latin America: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru and Venezuela as well as in Turkey and South Africa.

Mr. Hemnani has developed a unique track record spanning 13 years in market research, financial analysis and project development across Latin America. He is widely published, and has presented in several international conferences. Mr. Hemnani joined the company in 1995 as a Project Manager, bringing with him a working knowledge of a broad range of Latin American markets. He previously worked in a Brazilian-based international trading company. Mr. Hemnani is a graduate of Babson College (summa cum laude). A Brazilian citizen, he is fluent in Portuguese, Spanish and Hindi.

As Vice President of Operations and Strategy, Erik is responsible for defining and implementing strategic initiatives across CG/LA's global operating units. His primary focus is ensuring alignment and synergy between operations and corporate direction. Previous to joining CG/LA he worked as a consultant for the World Trade Center Denver in the area of strategy and operations. He has extensive experience in Latin America having founded multiple companies and a foundation focusing on infrastructure, development, and investment. His professional career started in community and economic development. Erik is fluent in Spanish, French, conversational in Portuguese and holds degrees from universities in France, Spain and the U.S.A. In his free time he serves as a strategic adviser to start-up companies and plays soccer.

Patricia Pietravalle

As Managing Director of Strategic Partnerships, Patricia Pietravalle is involved with CG/LA's core businesses, including sponsorship sales and client relations for the Infrastructure Leadership Forum series. Ms. Pietravalle also oversees budgeting and logistics for the Leadership Forums, and infrastructure analysis related to specific strategy consulting assignments. Ms. Pietravalle came to CG/LA from Turan Corporation, a Boston-based investment firm that specializes in the trading of sovereign debt. Before working at Turan, she worked as a contract specialist and assistant controller for Kallmann, McKinnell and Wood Architects in Boston, and studied at Complutense University in Madrid, Spain.  She is fluent in Spanish, and lives in Washington DC with her husband and three children.
  

José Gras

Jose leads the design and development of CG/LA’s GlobalViP platform, a social business network for infrastructure executives created for connecting experts from across infrastructure sectors and disciplines, and from around the globe. He is also involved in several of CG/LA’s consulting and strategic assignments. Jose is a civil construction engineer from Universidad Catolica de Chile and also holds an MBA from George Washington University. Previously Mr. Gras worked for 5 years as project manager in several large-scale infrastructure projects in Chile and has additional experience as a New York-based investment banker focusing on Latin America. Originally from Chile, Jose is fluent in Spanish, English and conversational in German.
  

Luz Maria Luna Raffo

Luz Maria supports the Sales and Operations Team - she is involved in sponsorship sales and support for the Leadership Forum Series, as well as client relations. She helps with planning and development of internal and external communications and marketing strategies. Luz Maria is originally from Peru and speaks Spanish fluently. Before becoming part of the CG/LA team, she worked in Peru for the San Manuel Mining Corporation (part of Atacocha) as a Community Relations Assistant for the Social and Environmental Department. There she was responsible for establishing effective communication between the industry, government and local communities; she organized meetings and workshops with local communities; created strategies for dealing with environmental, heritage, and health issues; educated company staff on cross-cultural awareness; and developed programs for the sustainability of the local communities.

  

Frank Hollowell
Director, Business Development

Frank leads the Business Development team for the Infrastructure Leadership Series, focusing on project outreach and developing partnerships with governments and companies - including finance, EPC, technology, equipment and service firms. Prior to joining CG/LA, Frank spent several years on Capitol Hill as a Legislative Assistant working for two Members of Congress, one on the Transportation & Infrastructure Committee and another on the Appropriations Committee. He holds a Masters Degree from George Washington University in International Trade and Investment Policy. Born in London, and having lived in France, Mexico, Italy, UK and California, he claims San Diego as his hometown. He speaks French and has played rugby for 12 years.

  

Janina Anderson

As Director of Communications, Janina oversees communication between CG/LA media partners, publications, and members of the press as well as CG/LA's active presence across various social media platforms.

As Director of Design, Janina manages the design and production of marketing materials for distribution in both print and online, stills, video and graphics from CG/LA's Infrastructure Leadership Forum series and other projects.

Prior to her work at CG/LA, Janina worked in the communications department at the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, and served as an assistant at the Textile arts Center in Brooklyn, New York. Janina maintains an independent art practice exhibiting work in Washington DC, Los Angeles, and elsewhere. 

  

Cristina Weir

Cristina assists the CG/LA team through preparation of the Leadership Forums, including the development of merges and other relevant marketing materials, gathering information for and creation of the Forum Book, and maintaining the website. She manages the project information for all confirmed Forum projects and works to identify the business opportunities associated with these projects. Cristina works closely with the CEO in developing white papers on the state of infrastructure in the world for each Leadership Forum event.

Prior to joining CG/LA, Cristina worked for a non-profit as an English-language tutor for the homeless in Arlington, VA. She was the first English-language tutor at the organization, and implemented the program from the ground up.

After working 6 years as a barista, Cristina is now a Certified Coffee Master.

Cristina graduated from the College of William and Mary, in Williamsburg, VA, with Honor. She received her degree in International Relations and European Studies.

  

Alejandro Aispuro
Analyst, Latin American Infrastructure

Alejandro works with the CG/LA team in the Mexico City office focusing on the Latin American Leadership Forum and the Mexican Leadership Forum. He works with local project developers and on creating key relationships at a local and regional level - in both the private and public sectors. Prior to joining CG/LA, Alejandro worked with the PR team of Torre Mayor - the tallest building in Mexico - coordinating public relations with local government officials and the media. Additionally, he worked at AIM Architectos, assisting in the formulation of Urban and Environmental Impact Analysis specifically tailored for diverse infrastructure and development projects. He graduated with honors in International Relations from the University of Exeter and is currently working on a specialization in Sustainable Development. Born in Mexico City, he has lived in Toronto, Exeter and London, and much prefers the cold and rainy weather. In addition to Spanish and English, he speaks fluent French and Italian. He was Captain of the University of Exeter Fencing Club and is skilled with an epee, which he sometimes carries to aggressive negotiations.
