El 7o Foro Latinoamericano de Liderazgo reunió los mejores 55 proyectos de infraestructura de la región del 27 al 29 de abril en la ciudad de Houston, Texas. El valor total del portafolio de proyectos superó los $50 billones de dólares y abarcó 10 sectores de infraestructura con el potencial de crear 2 millones de trabajo por año. Houston demostró ser la sede ideal del foro por su dinamismo y creatividad en la cultura de infraestructura.

Estructurado como un verdadero mercado de infraestructura, el 7o Foro Latinoamericano de Liderazgo sostuvo 55 presentaciones ejecutivas de proyecto, 1897 reuniones privadas entre lideres participantes, 8 estratégicos talleres de trabajo, 2 desayunos con presentaciones estratégicas de nuestros patrocinadores, oradores magistrales y recepción de bienvenida. 22 países estuvieron representados.

Los proyectos incluyeron los sectores de electricidad, petróleo y gas, puertos y logísticos, tratamiento y distribución de agua, transporte urbano masivo, aeropuertos, turismo, energía alternativa y proyectos estratégicos con el poder de transformar la región.

El foro fue el espacio ideal para la 4a Entrega a los premios del año y los ganadores fueron:

•   Ruta del Sol, Colombia, al mejor Proyecto Estratégico
•   La Rehabilitación del Sistema Nacional Logístico y de Trenes, Costa Rica, por generar valor y empleo
•   Aceite Terciario del Golfo, México, por su sofisticación y creatividad en Ingeniería
•   La Expansión del Sistema de Generación Eléctrica, Guatemala, por su innovación financiera
•   La Planta de Tratamiento de Agua en Atotonilco, México, en la categoría de Agua

La Corporación Andina de Fomento otorgó el premio al Proyecto Eólico Galectra en la Categoría Especial de Energía Alternativa.
