The ports of Limón and Moín are located along the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica, approximately 170 km (105 miles) from the capital city of San José. Limón is itself the provincial capital of its namesake province and the only city of importance on Costa Rica’s eastern seaboard; Moín is an industrial area located a few kilometers west of Limón.
Currently, both terminals are run and managed by JAPDEVA, an autonomous government entity of public nature.
