Now in its second year, the Global Infrastructure Leadership Forum presents the projects that will make up the Long Boom in Infrastructure. CG/LA estimates that the effective global demand for infrastructure will be in the $25 trillion range through 2030, including the development of new infrastructure and the maintenance of existing works.
Of this total global investment, 50-60% will be invested in emerging markets, where CG/LA sees market growth in infrastructure to be 15-20% per year throughout the boom. New export corridors (China, India), production platforms (northern Africa), fuel sources (bio-fuels, mini-nuclear) and -above all- performance-based financial mechanisms, will transform the previously closed infrastructure industry into a strategic growth engine for the world.
GILF2 projects have already been confirmed in more than ten countries, including US, Brazil, Mexico, Malaysia, South Africa and Russia.
