The TREM project, a US$350MM DBOT project, is a priority project for the Government of Costa Rica. Connecting 7 municipalities of San Jose, the project is central to reorganization of the public transport system of the greater metropolitan area and freeing the region from heavy traffic. The project will activate the right side of the railway (currently inactive) creating a bidirectional track that will relieve auto congestion and reduce CO2 emissions. The National Institute for Concessions' Ing. Juan Sauma, Director of the TREM project, is the presenter.
