Six months into formal negotiations, Denver International Airport says officials are not quite ready to ink a deal with a bid team for a massive renovation of Jeppesen Terminal. But a spokesman said DIA was making progress in talks about the Great Hall project with Madrid-based Ferrovial Airports and its partners.
Six months was the length of time allotted for negotiations as part of a "pre-development agreement" that won City Council approval Aug. 29. DIA spokesman Heath Montgomery said airport officials still are working out project details and designs for a long-term public-private partnership with the Ferrovial team, one that potentially could be worth hundreds of millions of dollars.But he declined to estimate how soon the two sides would propose a full development agreement for public scrutiny.
