VISION
Our Strategic Infrastructure Roadmap Forward
Purchase a fraction of the book
The world is moving toward a new economic paradigm, in which productivity and performance will be driven by digital investment. Now we are focused on Covid recovery, but the real - immediate - challenge is to create the infrastructure that will underpin an entirely new economy. Jobs will be different; educational requirements will change; and the role of government will be both dynamic and strategic.
5G - enabling machines to talk to machines - is the foundation for what is coming. What do we want this future to look like? How do we want to shape it? The ten biggest companies in the U.S. are not the ten biggest companies in 2020 - whole new companies will emerge over the next ten years to dominate the U.S. market.
I’m looking for 100 people to support this project with a $1,000 - $5,000 contribution apiece. For that you get a) the prospect of fairly healthy returns; b) an opportunity to shape the book (we will share chapters as they are finished, for your comment); and c) the chance to set the country on the right path forward.
Objective.
Produce a strong narrative on the future roadmap for U.S. infrastructure. The overall goal is to highlight the importance of infrastructure investment - and the results of that investment for economic productivity, social opportunity and critical public goods like clean water and mobility. The book will also be meant as a guide for sophisticated infrastructure decision-making in the Biden Administration.
Goals.
The book will provide a roadmap for the Biden Administration to double the level of infrastructure investment in the U.S., and for our country to sustain that level of investment for at least ten years. This includes a focus on new technology, and innovating into every aspect of infrastructure - across brownfield, greenfield and new infrastructure (5G, IoT, smart cities, cybersecurity). Much of this investment will come from long-term pension and insurance funds, through state infrastructure banks and other innovative vehicles.
Solution.
The book will be ready by mid-January, and will be sold and made available in Apple and Kindle formats, as well as in a softcover edition. Key themes have been developed and highlighted since March in my 35+ forbes.com articles, as well as OpEds, TV appearances and podcasts. As a businessman, I have also elected to sell units in the book, against future sales.

Ten Action Items. This section will lay out an action plan for the U.S. in terms of doubling the level of infrastructure investment, and ensuring that the performance of that investment also doubles. Strategic Infrastructure will be the element that gets us through the coming Turbulent Decade.
Each chapter will be shared with subscribers as drafts are finished, for comment and suggestions. We’ve always found that infrastructure practitioners are the most knowledgeable people in their areas of expertise - and this is particularly so in our fast-changing technology environment.
Note that we will have a very aggressive marketing and sales strategy. We begin with our 40,000+ executive mailing list, and also including 5,000 Linked-In friends, and over 4000 additional contacts in our GViP platform. I will contain to publish Forbes articles at the rate of 4-5 per month, and in addition:
I will publish one long form essay highlighting the book’s key themes;
We will also drive sales through TV appearances, as well as our regular GViP TV interviews; and
We will develop a marketing campaign that highlights and builds on these themes through short-from Leadership Forum events, and thought leaders pieces covering every aspect of U.S. and global infrastructure project development.
